American-Style LPG BBQ Grill Guide

Each guest area has one LPG grill. Cook on the lower grate, keep finished food warm on the upper rack, and use the right-side burner for a pot.

Quick Lighting

Four Steps

  1. Open the lid, make sure every knob is OFF, then open the cylinder valve.
  2. Push in one main-burner knob and turn it anticlockwise to MAX.
  3. Press IGNITION for up to five seconds and confirm that the burner lights.
  4. Keep the lid open and preheat on high for 3–5 minutes, then set the cooking heat.
If it will not light or you smell gas: turn everything OFF, close the cylinder valve, keep the lid open, and wait five minutes. Contact the host if the problem continues.

How to Make Food Taste Better

  • Thin meat, seafood, vegetables, sausages: use the lower main grate over a lit burner on medium-high. Turn once after the surface browns.
  • Thick steaks, chicken legs, ribs: sear both sides on high, then move over an unlit area and finish on medium-low with the lid closed.
  • Cooked food, bread, nearly finished food: move it to the upper warming rack so strong direct heat does not burn it.
  • Soup, hot pot, sauce: use the right-side burner with the pot centred securely.
For better results: preheat the grate, pat food dry, and add only a light coat of oil. Sear on high, finish on medium-low, and avoid repeated turning. Keep the lid closed for thick food and open it only to turn or check doneness.

Safety and Shutdown

Stay nearby while cooking and keep children, pets, and combustible items away. Never use water on a grease fire; shut off the gas, use a dry-powder extinguisher, and call 119 if it cannot be controlled.

When finished: close the cylinder valve first, let the remaining gas burn off, then turn every knob to OFF. Clean only after the grill has cooled.
